Kooskia is the gateway to the Clearwater and Nez Perce National Forest and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness area. You will be treated to a variety of delicious menus with large mouth- watering portions! There is an abundance of lodging including several bed and breakfasts and an RV park.

Kooskia features a variety of special events and activities. The Kooskia Chamber of Commerce features at least two events each year. In the winter months Kooskia’s “Taste of the Clearwater” held at the historic Old Victorian Opera House, showcases local establishments. Join us for an evening of small “tastes” of local specialties.

In the summer join us traditional small town weekends. The summer weekends are filled with events like Stites Days, Clearwater’s Elk City Wagon Road Days, or Kooskia Days.

Kooskia Days is coordinated each year by the Greater Kooskia Chamber of Commerce. The one to two-day event is held late summer. Historically there has been a day long Bingo games, a parade, Duck races, a pine car racer derby and more.
